Duke University Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones and Rees Jones, at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club was ranked as the "15th Best Overall Golf Course" by Golf Digest. It served as the site of the 2001 NCAA Division I Golf Tournament.

Duke University Golf CourseTreyburn Golf Course, designed by Tom Fazio, was ranked as the "10th Best Golf Course in NC" in 1999 by Golf Digest. Its 18th hole is considered one of the toughest finishing holes in the nation.
